Responsibilities
- Vacuum carpets, curtains, and upholstered furniture.
- Clean, dust, and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
- Remove rubbish and recyclables, and empty containers, bins, and trays.
- Strip wax, re-wax, and polish floors as required.
- Clean and disinfect laundry and bathroom fixtures, replenish supplies, and report any defective plumbing.
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and other cleaning equipment safely.
- Remove dust and dirt from ceilings, walls, and overhead fixtures.
- Apply cleaning acids or solvents to remove stains, dirt, oil, and grease.
- Clean machinery, equipment, or building exteriors using specialized tools and methods such as sand-blasting.
- Follow safety procedures and company cleaning standards at all times.
Requirements
- Must currently reside in New Zealand with the legal right to work full-time (resident, citizen, or valid work visa holder).
- Proven experience as a cleaner or in a similar maintenance role preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment handling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
- Punctual, responsible, and dependable.
